RightHand Robotics

Location: 100 Cambridge Street, Charlestown, MA

Size: 42,478 SF

RightHand Robotics has created a robot for warehouse automation that focuses on piece-picking for supply chain and e-commerce fulfillment.  After a few quick years of growth RHR is now a leader in piece-picking robotics and provides their product to companies in the US, Europe, and Japan.

With the growth of their business, RHR needed to streamline their development and robotics testing, and optimize their process and procedure that would allow them to both service existing clients and grow even more within the market. They needed more space with a high deck height, loading docks, decent column spacing, and power supply. They found those requirements at 100 Cambridge Street in Charlestown, right down the street from where they were previously working in Somerville.

With all major building requirements met, the entire team worked to meet the space requirements made by the robotics team that would enhance their process and testing in the new space. A large warehouse-like open floor plan holds their robotics test and build areas, supported by a hardware test lab, machine shop, and an R&D work area. In addition to these spaces there are large open office areas with workstations and touchdown desks, conference rooms all set up for seamless AV, and a large café and lounge/game area to host the many team events they host.
